New mixed finite element methods are presented for the second order ellip tic problem :-Δu = f in Ω , with u ∈ H01(Ω).These new methods are coercive, and the resulting linear systems are positively definite, with condition number O(h-2).Moreover, they allow the use of much more finite elements.
A unified computable formula is presented for the constant of inverse estimation emanating from stabilized finite element methods. The method lies in introducing an elementwise bubble space spanned by the interpolation base functions with an additional bubble function given, and the parameter playing a stabilization role can take its value in a determined range.
