The characters of heating and drying by microwave irradiation were analysed in this paper. Based on the test results, the influence of textile materials, fabric layers, and water regain on the water evaporation rate was discussed. It shows the drying regulation is elementarily controled by the water content in fabric, other parameters possess little effect on drying. The temperature rising regulation of fabrics with different water regain in microwave field is similar,the highest increasing rate is around 75% of water regain.
