Based on an analysis of the deficiency of the traditional ELT in authenticity, this paper puts forward some sug-gestions about how to make our ELT classroom more authentic.
Based on an analysis of the deficiencies of the traditional college English teaching in cultivating students' oral communicative competence, this paper introduces an effective textbook--New College English and suggests adopting the balanced activities approach to cultivate non-English majors' oral communicative competence via the book.
