East Asian economic integration is an objective trend.Governments in the region should have an early awareness of this objectivetrend so as to undertake necessary reforms for the regional integration.Without the determination to carry out profound and comprehensive reforms in various countries,no regional economic integration would be possible.Also,the commitments for regional economic integration will serve as the crieria by which countries may undertake their reforms.The prices to be paid for these reforms are surely not small,but without the reforms in viewof regional economic integration,the losses which befall countries will be even more serious.Realities of regional economic integration have pointed to much more benefits than losses for countries which participate in it.Some people have put forth a quantified estimation of"benefits7,losses3",but in fact both benefits and losses would depend on howgovernments undertake reforms and economic integration.
Vietnam is located in Indo—China Peninsula with good geographical environment and abundant natural reˉsources,especially aquatic products.Those products form an important part of its economy.Its exportation has pushed it’s eˉconomy ahead and improved its people’s living standard.With all factors involved,it is easy to find that aquatic products will play a more important role in its economy.
Nanning-Hanoi-Haiphong Economic Corridor enjoys such a significant geographical position and convenient communications thatthe construction ofthe Corridor shall be the propellingfactorto the economic developmentofChina and Vietnam and the establishment of Sino-ASEAN free trade area.Lang Son Province of Vietnam,which is the important port province that connects Vietnamwith China as well as an importantpassagewayto ASEANcountries,will play an importantrole in the region.
