To study factors relative to complications in internal iliac arterial chemoembolization in the treatment of gynecological malignant tumors,to improve the safety of this method in clinical applications.METHODS Seldinger′s catheterization method was used in 61 cases carrying on catheterization via internal artery infusion chemotherapy and embolization.RESULTS 8 cases suffered from complications in 61 patients. The percentage of complications was 8.5% in this series, including 2 cases of breech dermonecrosis,1 case of femoral artery thrombosis,1 case of large hematoma and 4 cases of vulva, breech and lower extremity edema.CONCLUSIONS In the treatment of gynecological malignant tumors with internal iliac arterial chemoembolization, controlling some relative factors can reduce the complications effectively.
