TCM terms has a deep root in Chinese culture,which brings about cultural obstacles for TCM terms translation.This paper attempts to analyze the origin of some TCM terms and classify the cultural obstacles in TCM terms translation.In order to effectively transfer culture-loaded information to foreign readers,translators should be fully aware of cultural differences to improve their intercultural communication competence.
