A pilot experiment for mass measurement at CSRe被引量:2

A pilot experiment of mass measurement was performed at CSRe with the method of isochronous mass spectrometry. The secondary fragments produced via RIBLL2 with the primary beam of 400 MeV/u 36Ar delivered by CSRm were injected into CSRe. The revolution periods of the stored ions,which depend on the mass-to-charge ratios of the stored ions,were measured with a time-of-flight detector system. The results show that the mass resolution around 8×10-6 for △m/m is achieved.

N*(1535) contribution in pp→ppη′ and pn→dφ

In an effective Lagrangian model we find that the N*(1535) resonance contribution might be important to the interpretation of the present data of the pp → ppη′ and pn → dφ reactions. The strong coupling strength of N*(1535) to η′ and φ are indicated, and the possible implication to the intrinsic component of N*(1535) is explored. These results may provide hints to the real origin of the OZI rule violation. It is stressed that further measurements could be performed at the Cooling Storage Ring (CSR) at Lanzhou of China.

Studies of a scintillator-bar detector for a neutron wall at an external target facility被引量:2

To achieve a better time resolution of a scintillator-bar detector for a neutron wall at the external target facility of HIRFL-CSR,we have carried out a detailed study of the photomultiplier,the wrapping material and the coupling media. The timing properties of a scintillator-bar detector have been studied in detail with cosmic rays using a high and low level signal coincidence. A time resolution of 80 ps has been achieved in the center of the scintillator-bar detector.

Secondary electron time detector for mass measurements at CSRe被引量:4

The Isochronous Mass Spectrometry is a high accurate mass spectrometer. A secondary electrons time detector has been developed and used for mass measurements. Secondary electrons from a thin carbon foil are accelerated by an electric field and deffected 180° by a magnetic field onto a micro-channel plate. The time detector has been tested with alpha particles and a time resolution of 197 ps (FWHM) was obtained in the laboratory. A mass resolution around 8×10-6 for m/m was achieved by using this time detector in a pilot mass measurement experiment.

兰州储存环上小丸内靶的速度分析被引量:1

小丸内靶是在兰州储存环主环上进行强子物理实验的主要候选内靶之一.小丸速度是该内靶的一个重要物理参数.大的靶丸速度可以缩短单个靶丸与束流的接触时间,从而使靶丸有较小的温度变化和质量损失,保证内靶系统工作稳定.从流体力学方面对小丸内靶的速度进行了分析,优化了影响小丸靶速度的各种实验条件,并指出靶丸的速度上限在100m/s左右.

The First Isochronous Mass Measurements at CSRe

With the commissioning of the Cooler Storage Ring at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSR),a pilot experiment operating the CSRe in isochronous mode to test the power of HIRFL-CSR for measuring the mass of the short-lived nucleus was performed in December of 2007. The fragments with A/q = 2 of 36Ar were injected into CSRe and their revolution frequencies were measured with a fast time pick-up detector with a thin foil in the circulating path of the ions. The preliminary result is presented. The result shows the potential of CSRe for mass measurements of short-lived nuclei.

CSRm内靶实验中的轻离子束流寿命模拟研究被引量:1

建立了内靶对兰州冷却储存环主环束流影响的单粒子跟踪模拟程序,对pellet小丸靶和碳靶对束流带来的负面影响进行了模拟研究,主要讨论CSRm内靶实验中的束流存活率和束流寿命状态。结果显示利用厚度为1×1016atoms.cm-2小丸内靶时,2.6 GeV质子束流寿命在100 s量级,而对于目前技术水平下的碳膜靶(厚度为5×1017atoms.cm-2),质子束流寿命为s量级;束流寿命和束流能量基本成正比关系,束流寿命和内靶厚度近似成反比关系。

基于GEANT4的CsI(Tl)闪烁体探测器的Monte Carlo模拟被引量:11

对闪烁光在晶体内的传输以及光电子倍增过程进行了建模,基于GEANT4软件包对CsI(T1)闪烁体探测器进行了蒙特卡罗模拟,得到了不同形状、尺寸和包装的CsI(Tl)晶体测量γ射线的能谱。对比模拟和测试结果,两者得到了很好的符合,从而验证了模拟参数的合理性和可靠性。该模拟程序的建立为闪烁体探测器的设计提供了更精确的开发工具。

Luminosity determination for the pd reaction at 2.14 GeV with WASA-at-COSY

The luminosity for a WASA-at-COSY experiment involving the pd reaction at 2.14 GeV proton-beam energy is determined by the forward pd elastic scattering, which yields an average beam-on-target value of [5.2±0.3(stat)±0.3(syst)]×1030 s-1 cm-2. In addition, the forward pd elastic-scattering angular distribution is obtained with four-momentum transfer squared -t between 0.16 (GeV/c)2 and 0.78 (GeV/c)2 at this beam energy, which is compared with other experimental data and the pd double scattering model.
